The A1C test measures the level of glucose in the blood in numbers ranging from 5 to 10. If the test report shows a figure below 5.7 then it is normal.
But if someone's A1C level is seen more than 6.5%, then he is called a patient of diabetes.

Random glucose tolerance test
In this type of test, the blood sample of the victim is tested 4 times. If the blood sugar level is found to be more than twice the normal, then the pregnant woman is confirmed to have gestational diabetes.
What is the treatment of diabetes?
There is no permanent cure for type 1 diabetes, therefore, a person has to be a patient of type 1 diabetes for the rest of his life.

ReplyDeleteHow can you manage blood sugar levels in children?
DeleteUnless diabetic that should regulate itself if they eat a proper human diet. The dietary guidelines of the last 40 years are quite unbalanced in the direction of carbohydrates and do not include enough healthy fats and protein.
Cholesterol and saturated fats are not unhealthy when eaten in normal amounts.
We only need Omega 6 polyunsaturated fats in small amounts. They are harmful when overdosed. Avoid vegetable oils. They are loaded with them..
Not too much bread and other things made from flour.
Some exercise is needed. Playing outside is great.
Limit sugar, pop and fruit juice to special occasion treats. Birthdays etc. Give them real fruits instead (not juiced).
You don’t need snacks between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Include things like eggs, fried in butter in lunches. Those fats are essential in keeping blood sugar down.
Get them hooked on hearty flavors rather than sweet ones.
Basically how we ate before 1977 when obesity and diabetes were rare.
